The short version: your files are never uploaded. Every tool on InBrowserTools processes files locally in your browser, so we never receive, see, store or transmit your file content, filenames or metadata. There is no account to create and no file data for us to lose.
1. Who we are
InBrowserTools ("we", "us") is operated by Ananta Software. This policy explains what data is and is not handled when you use inbrowsertools.online.
2. Files you process — never collected
All file processing happens on your own device. Files you open in any tool are read into your browser's memory and processed by JavaScript and WebAssembly running locally. No file content, filename, size or metadata is transmitted to our servers or to any third party. Nothing is stored after you close or reload the tab. This applies to every tool, including PDF Redaction, PII Scrubber, Metadata Remover and Log File Parser.
3. Information we do process
Because the site is served over the internet, our web server automatically records standard request logs, which may include your IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, referring page and timestamp. These are used only to keep the site running, diagnose errors and block abusive traffic and automated scrapers. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not sold.
If you contact us, we process whatever information you choose to include in your message, solely to reply to you.
4. Cookies and local storage
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site stores a single preference in your browser's local storage to remember whether you chose light or dark mode. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
5. Third-party services
Some pages load fonts and open-source JavaScript libraries from third-party content delivery networks. Your browser's request to those providers exposes your IP address and user agent to them under their own privacy policies. Your files are never sent to them. If we add analytics or other services in future, this policy will be updated before they go live.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal data we hold about you, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Because we do not hold accounts or file data, in most cases the only data concerned is server log entries. Contact us to make a request.
7. Data retention and security
Server logs are retained only as long as needed for security and diagnostics, then deleted. The site is served over HTTPS. The strongest security property of InBrowserTools is architectural: data that is never transmitted cannot be intercepted or breached.
8. Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
