Yes — every tool on InBrowserTools is 100% client-side. Your files are loaded directly in your browser using the FileReader API and processed by JavaScript libraries (pdf-lib, PDF.js, mammoth.js, etc.). No file content, filename or metadata is ever sent to any server. Your data never leaves your device.
Open the Merge PDFs tool, drag and drop your PDF files into the upload area (or click to browse), reorder them by dragging the cards if needed, then click Merge PDFs. The merged file downloads automatically. No account or upload required.
Most tools support files up to 50 MB. Since all processing happens in your browser, the practical limit depends on your device's available memory. For very large PDFs (100 MB+), we recommend splitting them first using the Compress PDF tool before merging or editing.
Yes. Once a tool page has loaded in your browser, most tools continue to work without an internet connection. All processing libraries are cached locally. This makes InBrowserTools suitable for air-gapped environments, restricted corporate networks, or use while travelling.

Yes. The Compress PDF tool uses a binary-search algorithm to iteratively reduce quality until it hits your target KB. The same approach is used in the Resize Image tool for hitting exact image file size targets. Both run entirely in your browser.
Open the Word Editor, click Open and select your .docx file. It is read locally using mammoth.js — no upload needed. Edit with the full rich-text toolbar, then click Download .docx to save. Your document content never leaves your device.
